Many mechanical test instruments used in biomedical applications are placed in facilities such as cleanrooms, vivariums and cell culture laboratories. Some facilities have very stringent requirements in terms of allowable environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, and aerosol particles.
The technology and design of Bose® test instruments have allowed the placement of these systems in cleanrooms, animal facilities (see In Vivo Testing) and cell culture laboratories worldwide. BioDynamic® test instruments and other ElectroForce® systems can be placed inside cell culture incubators following appropriate aseptic techniques without inducing contamination. The test frames can safely operate at 37°C and can even be used in large, walk-in incubator rooms.
