Tissue and organ baths are useful in a variety of pharmaceutical tests. Bose® systems excel at combining bath environments with applicable mechanical loading. Most tissues in the body are exposed to some biomechanical stimuli and require those cues for their survival and function. Sterile and non-sterile baths are available that can be heated to a range of temperatures (including 37°C) while tissues or organs are mounted with a variety of fixturing methods. Samples can then be exposed to mechanical loading and fluid flow while properties are measured real-time.
In some cases, humidity and the gas environment are critical test parameters. Due to the cleanliness and the technology of the Bose linear motor, several Bose systems can be placed inside environmental chambers such as cell culture incubators that offer temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and oxygen control.
