Auditioner® System Technology
Auditioner system technology lets system designer, acoustic consultant and client "step inside" the model and accurately experience the proposed sound system's performance. The patented Auditioner playback system uses a specific arrangement of near-field speakers and proprietary signal processing to precisely deliver sound waves to the listener's ears so they hear sound as they would in the actual venue. Auditioner technology is enabled with Bose® Modeler® Plus software, whose features enable room model auralization and playback using the Auditioner playback system III.
Product Overview
In the past, the only way to accurately judge a sound system's performance was to listen after it was fully installed. Only after the entire renovation or construction process was complete could you hear the real sound for the first time. In all but a few cases this is was too late for any meaningful change.
Auditioner system technology makes it possible to actually hear and judge the performance of a sound system, as it will be installed in the venue, before a single piece of audio equipment is installed. Auditioner system technology allows sound designers and consultants to work iteratively on the design of the sound system to evaluate numerous variables, and make necessary changes and improvements to ensure the quality of the design, before the installation begins.
Modeler Plus sound system software
Bose Modeler Plus software includes all of the features within the standard version of the Modeler software. Modeler Plus software builds on the capability of Modeler software with additional algorithms that enable auralization with the Auditioner playback system. These powerful tools let the sound system designer or acoustical consultant actually hear how the system design will perform in the room prior to installation.

The Auditioner playback system employs a patented arrangement of near-field speakers and proprietary signal processing to precisely deliver sound waves to the listener’s ears in the same way they would in the actual room. Using the Auditioner technology allows the listener to “step inside” the model and accurately experience the sound system’s performance in the room as well as specific room characteristics such as spaciousness, source localization, reverberation and reflections.
