This feature will allow you to use the video scaler in the VS-2 video enhancer or simply pass an incoming signal to the TV without upscaling it. This feature can only be used if the VS-2 video enhancer is connected to the TV with an HDMI® cable.
Setting the video resolution is a two-step process:
Set "Video Resolution" to "Adjustable" in the System menu
Change Video Resolution in the Settings menu
To set Video Resolution to "Adjustable" in the System menu, follow these steps:
Be sure the TV is on with the correct input selected
On the remote, press System. Press the Right arrow to highlight the "Video" icon
Press the Down arrow until "Video Resolution" is highlighted
Press the Right arrow to highlight the current option
Press the Up arrow or Down arrow to select the appropriate setting:
Fixed: Prohibits any change to video resolution. When selected, the Video Resolution feature is not available in the Settings menu. The system will select the highest possible resolution setting reported by the TV via HDMI
Adjustable: Allows the user to select the resolution sent to the TV from the VS-2 video enhancer via HDMI
Press ENTER to confirm the setting and then Exit to leave the menu
To change the video resolution in the Settings menu when the option is set to "Adjustable," follow these steps:
Be sure the TV is on with the correct input selected
Select a source other than FM, AM, CD or DVD
On the remote, press Settings. If the Settings menu cannot be seen, look at the media center display to change this setting
Press the Down arrow until "Video Resolution" is highlighted or "Video Res" appears on the media center display
Press the Right arrow to highlight the current setting
Use the Up arrow or Down arrow on the remote to select the appropriate setting:
480/576p (lowest quality)
720p
1080i
1080p (highest quality)
Press ENTER to confirm the setting and then Exit to leave the menu
